I saw the nurse on Tuesday 10/20, and was so amazed and reassured to hear that little heart. They beat so fast! I didn't realize how worried I'd been until I heard the 'whooshwhoosh'. Matthew didn't come with me, so Lois (the NP) made him a tape recording. Then we had the first ultrasound on Thursday. And here s/he is! Happy and healthy. Heart is 174 - perfect and strong. The ultrasound tech kept saying "Oh, what a cute baby!" I'm as much a sap as the next girl - but, seriously. There ain't nothin' cute about a 10 wk. fetus.
